2 Owner, 1994 Mazda Miata

In 1997 "Ro" walked into Crest Cadillac-Pontiac-Mazda in Newington, CT and bought this Classic Red 1994 Mazda Miata. She was the 2nd owner, the first having put just about 26,000 miles on it in those 3 years. The original owner optioned this car to the hilt, setting it up like one of the Special Edition cars. It has all three of the option packages, A, B and C along with the hardtop and ABS brakes.

Power windows, Power mirrors (both sides in body color), PS/PB (4 wheel disc), Cassette/CD/Stereo, AC, cruise control, Driver and passenger side Air Bags, ABS, tan Leather bucket seats, power antenna, full gauges, alloy wheels, LSD, rear defrost, body colored fiberglass hard top, full carpeting, center console, digital clock, tan vinyl soft top and the rear spoiler.

Ro fell in love with this car and it went with her and her husband throughout the country, being driven to almost all of their homes when they moved, whether it was in Palo Alto,CA, New Orleans, LA, FL or back here in CT. She drove it .. a lot! Current mileage is 206,151.

However, like I said, she loved this car. Oil changed every 3000 miles like clock work, no matter where she was, she found a Mazda place to do the work. In those 206,000 miles, the head gasket has been changed twice, the timing belts at least 4 times (every 60,000 miles), brakes have been done numerous times, the car has always been kept at the top of it's mechanical game. (There is a file folder 2" thick with receipts to show everything that has been done)

Turn the key, the engine starts right up, the EFI making sure everything is where it's supposed to be. Oil pressure is an awesome 60 at cold idle and about 35 when warm idle.

Inside, the leather interior is in very good condition. The seats have some minor wear, but a little dye will remedy that, as the leather is still in great shape, only the color has worn. The top is only a few years old and in tip/top shape. Aside from the multiple brake jobs and timing belts, the car has been painted 5 times. Two were accidents where someone bumped her, and the others were just general paint jobs as she felt the car was getting dull. (The last time was in 2015) The fenders have been replaced twice and some rust repair was done in the sills, just in front of the rear wheel wells. (unfortunately, that is starting come back just a little) Other than that, the paint is near perfect, only a small rub or two, as pointed out in the full photo album.

While all that sounds like a hodge-podge, this car  really is practically like new.

The Khumo Solius tires were replaced in 2015 but don't show any wear and as the car has always  been garaged, there is little to no UV damage.

As previously mentioned, the 1.8L DOHC 4 cylinder fires right up and heading down the road, the clutch is where it should be, the 5 speed manual transmissions shifts smoothly, everything sings harmoniously.

At about 90 years old, she and her husband were still driving the car, but a move to a smaller home with only 2 garage spaces dictates the selling of this wonderful part of the family.

There is also a 7 piece set of fitted luggage that comes with the car as well as the hard top.

Asking price on this great little, absolutely loved over, well cared for Miata is $9000.
