1992 Jaguar XJS Roadster description

1992 Jaguar XJS Roadster

2  Owner car in the same family for the last 25 years. This car was  purchased from a local specialty Jaguar dealer, who had purchased the  car from the original owner. It had roughly 20K miles on it when they  bought the car, it now has about 66,660 miles, averaging less than 2000  miles a year. The car has been owned by a car family and has been very  well taken care of. Although not really concours quality, it does show  very well, with only some minor paint flaws and I'd say the car is a  solid #2 car, with the expected small issues that a car with 60+  thousand miles would have. Some very minor interior wear, a couple of  hairline cracks in the wood veneer and the aforementioned paint flaws (a  few small chips and light scratches here or there).

The  car wears it's original Jet Black - PDH paint and Magnolia - AEM  leather interior. As a Jaguar it is loaded with many luxury appointments  as standard - Power steering, power brakes, AC (blows colder than  outside air but I feel it may need either a charge or a little more  attention),  heated leather seats, power seats with memory and lumbar  air cushion -both seats- Power top, trip computer, intermittent wipers,  cruise control, tilt wheel, power windows, power mirrors, fog lights  front and rear, ABS 4 wheel disc brakes, Kenwood Bluetooth stereo (the  original unit will come with the car but is currently not functioning  correctly). This car also has the 2+2 option with seating for two behind  the two front seats...Not sure what humans would fit in those seats  though.

The  5.3 Liter HE V12, which puts out about 260 HP and 290 lb ft of torque,  has been well cared for and runs and drives beautifully. The power is  transmitted to the rear wheels by a Borg-Warner 3 speed auto  transmission through the standard Jaguar IRS differential. The brakes  stop the car very nicely without any pulling. The Dunlop SP Sport tires,  in 235/60/R15 sizes F&R, and the anti-roll bars give this car a bit  more sportier feel for what is generally considered a Grand Tourer, she  really holds the road and handles great. All the lights, power top and  windows work as they should.

The body is rust free and the under-body/suspension bits have what would be considered average surface rust and no rot.

Overall,  this a super solid running & driving car that can hold it's own in  an enthusiast division car show and definitely holds it's own on the  road.

She is ready to hop in, power up, top down and enjoy!

The price to take this wonderful Cat home is $19,500.
